Allah has sent His Noble Messenger with truth and guidance to fulfill numerous objectives, such as leading humanity to the straight path and establishing monotheism and the true religion upon the earth. In addition to these fundamental aims, the Qur’an explicitly identifies other primary objectives of the Prophet’s mission, which can be considered central to his prophethood. These include the establishment of justice, the promotion of knowledge, the cultivation of wisdom, and the purification of souls.
This study revolves around two of these four primary objectives of prophetic mission, i.e. justice and knowledge, showing that they are the fundamentals of Islam and the basic pillars of Islamic civilization, in addition to being the main objectives of his prophethood. The study also highlights the importance and role of these fundamentals in Islamic civilization throughout history, as well as the importance of these principles to reconstruct Islamic civilization today.
The significance of this study lies in identifying the objectives of the Prophethood of the Holy Prophet, which in turn helps define the responsibilities and goals of the Muslim Ummah, guiding it towards fulfilling its leading role in the world. By employing the descriptive and analytical method, this study demonstrates that these principles are the key to a prosperous future for Islamic society and civilization.
