Abstract

Quran and its Sciences hold a very important and integral position in the entire curriculum of Islamic Studies since it is considered the first and foremost source of Islamic foundations. The Scholars have been serving this genre since the advent of Islam.

Wifaq ul Madaris al Arabiah, Pakistan is considered to be the biggest board of religious Madaris in Pakistan offering the eight years degree of Dars-e Nizami/ Shahadatul Alamiah, equivalent to Masters in Arabic and Islamic Studies.

This article is an attempt to review and analyze the teaching of Holy Quran and Its Sciences in Dars e Nizami and its different dimensions such as its translation and teaching of its allied subjects. The article also deals with the inclusion of some modern methodologies which can be included in the curriculum as well as some suggestions for improvements.
