In this region, three commentaries in Arabic have been written on this book. Among them is a renowned commentary by the distinguished scholar of the Ahl-e-Hadith school of thought, Maulana Obaidullah Rahmani, which is famously known as "Miratual -Mafātīḥ” This commentary holds a prominent position in explaining the text of the Hadith. It includes the introduction of narrators, resolution of conflicting hadith, and discussions on jurisprudential schools of thought. The most remarkable feature of this commentary is that the author does not represent any specific school of jurisprudence. Instead, He gives preference to opinions based on evidence. The author has adopted the methodology of the Muhaddithin (Hadith scholars) in matters of beliefs and ambiguous texts, specifically the approach of Tafweedh (consigning the meaning to Allah). One of the notable qualities of this commentary is that the Hadiths have been numbered, making it easier to benefit from the book and reference specific narrations efficiently. The commentary spans nine volumes and covers up to the end of Kitab al-Manasik (the Book of Pilgrimage).
This study aims to analyze the factors contributing to the spread of contemporary atheism in Islamic societies, focusing on military, intellectual, political, cultural, psychological, and social dimensions. Findings indicate that military factors, such as the Crusades and Western colonialism, destabilized social and economic structures, weakening Islamic identity. Intellectual invasion, manifested through proselytization, Orientalism, and secularism, distorted Islam and sowed doubts about its tenets. Political systems supporting secularism, Freemasonry, and communism further separated religion from public life, paving the way for atheistic ideas. Culturally, globalization and modern communication technologies eroded Islamic values by promoting Western concepts conflicting with religious principles. Psychological and social factors include the absence of a coherent Islamic framework, fascination with Western materialistic civilization, excessive personal freedom, diminished spiritual awareness, and the impact of mental health issues such as depression and personality disorders. The study recommends strengthening religious awareness through educational and media institutions, improving socio-economic conditions, countering globalization with a robust Islamic cultural identity, and emphasizing social justice and rational dialogue to bolster intellectual resilience among youth.
The research aims to discuss the literary innovations in writing a biography its methods and characteristics. Autobiography is a form of literature. The art of autobiographical writing is an ancient type of literature and has undergone changes over time because the Arabs knew this art in the pre-Islamic era as well. This means that this art is not new to Arabic literature but rather a well-known type of Arabic literature. The research examines the art of writing autobiography in Arab history and traces its origins to the ancient Arab customs and traditions. There are several examples of autobiographies in classical Arabic literature that shed light on the art of writing autobiography in Arabic literature.
Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Copyright (c) 2025 Research Journal Ulūm-e-Islāmia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2025-02-21 2025-02-21 32 01 14 21 10.52461/ulm-e-islmia.v32i01.3634 The Impact of Televangelists on Contemporary Pakistani Society: A Critical Analysis of Their Preaching and Religious Influence https://journals.iub.edu.pk/index.php/Ulum-e-Islamia/article/view/3564
The rise of televangelists in Pakistan has created a discussion over their influence on the religious landscape of the nation. Despite their helpful role in disseminating religious information and ideals, others contend that their preaching may foster intolerance and marginalize particular groups. This article uses a qualitative research approach to tackle the problem, reviewing relevant academic and popular literature as well as conducting survey with audiences of televangelists who could be interested in the topic. The findings of this study demonstrate that while televangelists have significantly influenced Pakistan's religious landscape, such effects have not always been favorable. Numerous televangelists spread a distorted version of Islam that is at odds with the rich religious and cultural traditions of the nation and may encourage the radicalization of particular groups, especially those who feel excluded from the dominant religious discourse. Given that Pakistan emphasizes the variety and depth of its religious traditions, these findings have practical ramifications for fostering inclusive and tolerant religious discourse in that nation. The study's conclusions have important ramifications since they emphasis the need for Pakistan to consider televangelism with greater scepticism. While televangelists can be helpful in spreading religious knowledge and ideals, it is crucial to carefully monitor their messages to make sure they don't incite bigotry or destroy the nation's multireligious heritage. In order to preserve Pakistan's multireligious legacy, this article suggests a more accepting and tolerant approach to religious discourse that encourages communication and understanding among various religious communities.
Dr. Muhammad Hammad Laraib Zahid Dr. Abdul Baqi Copyright (c) 2025 Research Journal Ulūm-e-Islāmia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2025-01-28 2025-01-28 32 01 01 12 10.52461/ulm-e-islmia.v32i01.3564
