Rooted in the teachings of the Qur’an, the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the legacy of the rightly guided scholars, the mission of a Dā‘ī is not merely to convey information but to transform hearts and societies through wisdom, character, and relevance. This research explores the essential attributes of a Dā‘ī as derived from Islamic sources, emphasizing qualities such as sincerity (ikhlās), patience (ṣabr), wisdom (ḥikmah), compassion, eloquence, and moral integrity. These traits are not only foundational for effective communication but also serve as a bridge between Islamic values and the complex realities of the modern world.

In today’s rapidly evolving socio-cultural landscape, a Dā‘ī faces unique challenges—secularism, pluralism, media influence, and youth disengagement—necessitating a nuanced and contextual approach to Da‘wah. This study analyzes how the classical traits of a Dā‘ī can be practically applied in contemporary contexts, including digital media, interfaith dialogue, academic institutions, and multicultural societies. Through a qualitative approach, the research draws upon classical texts, modern scholarly discourse, and real-world case studies to propose a balanced framework for Da‘wah in the 21st century.

Ultimately, the study aims to highlight how the timeless principles of Islamic Da‘wah, when combined with contextual awareness and strategic insight, can effectively guide Muslims in fulfilling their prophetic responsibility in the modern world.

Honey is a blessing from Allah Almighty. It spread to Europe and the Islamic world, causing significant death, particularly for children. European explorers brought it to the Americas, causing disastrous consequences. The Variola virus is the source of the highly contagious smallpox disease. Smallpox disease which causes fever, exhaustion, and a characteristic skin rash that develops into pus-filled blisters, has a high death rate and has historically caused a great deal of morbidity and mortality. It had affected people of every era. In ancient times, religious figures were also afflicted with the epidemic disease which according to the historians and medical professionals was small pox disease. Variolation was used in Asia before vaccination. The primary means of disease transmission are respiratory droplets and direct contact with contaminated things or diseased people. The purpose of conducting research is to find the history and nature of epidemic small pox disease that had affected. Also, Al-Rāzī’s being a medical professional its work and findings on the epidemic small pox disease. The research also finds the contributions of the personalities in the ways developed for eradicating and getting rid of the deadly epidemic small pox disease. The methodology adopted for conducting this research is qualitative. Both the primary and the secondary sources are used for carrying out the research. The reader will come to know that by creating a vaccine against an epidemic smallpox using material from cowpox lesions, Edward Jenner invented vaccination. In 1980, the WHO proclaimed epidemic smallpox disease to be extinct. One of the biggest triumphs in the field of public health is the elimination of smallpox disease. Al-Rāzī, a prominent figure in measles and smallpox diagnosis, first differentiated between the two diseases in his book ‘Kitab Al-Judarī wa al-Ḥaṣba’, establishing the foundation for differential diagnosis in medicine. Epidemics in Islam are seen as tests for believers.
Bela Monis Mughal Dr. Masooma Batool Copyright (c) 2025 Bela Monis Mughal, Dr. Masooma Batool https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2025-04-04 2025-04-04 3 1 74 89 Sharī‘ah and Modern Legal Systems: A Comparative Study of Divine and Secular Law in the Contemporary World https://journals.iub.edu.pk/index.php/alraqim/article/view/3867
This paper presents a critical comparative analysis between Islamic Shari‘ah and man-made legal systems, emphasizing the divine origin, permanence, and moral superiority of Shari‘ah over secular jurisprudence. It challenges the growing inclination among certain segments of the Muslim intelligentsia to regard secular legal frameworks as inherently superior, exposing this attitude as a symptom of intellectual subjugation and cultural inferiority. The authors argue that, while Islamic Shari‘ah particularly in its codified juristic form may encounter procedural challenges akin to positive law, its revealed foundation provides it with a transcendent legitimacy that cannot be matched by man-made laws rooted in historical contingencies like Roman jurisprudence. The article explores Qur’anic and Prophetic evidence to establish that legislation is a divine prerogative and that any attempt to replace or parallel it with human constructs constitutes a violation of tawḥīd. Moreover, it underscores that Shar‘i laws are neither obsolete nor contextually rigid but are instead designed to serve as a universal and enduring moral-legal code until the Day of Judgment. Through exegetical references, prophetic traditions, and insights from classical and modern scholars, the article affirms that true faith (īmān) necessitates complete submission to divine legislation, and that any deviation toward ṭāghūt or secular authority undermines the very foundation of Islamic belief and identity.
Dr. Jahanzib Rana Dr. Abdul Waheed Memon Dr. Arif Hussain Copyright (c) 2025 Dr. Jahanzib Rana, Dr. Abdul Waheed Memon, Dr. Arif Hussain https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2025-04-04 2025-04-04 3 1 90 102
