This reflected in the culture and language of the people and the attendant behavioral dispositions of the people. These dispositions were inclusive of gender perceptions and its relatedness. There was no societal fixation as to particular exploits that women could or could not make. As it were, the societies were gender neutral. There were therefore women who rose in different kingdoms and societies to make military exploits and exploits in governance amongst others that reflected the psychological and behavioral disposition of the people and societies.

This paper brings to fore, gender disposition as reflected in the culture , politics , governance amongst other societal activities. The paper further argues that the slave trade across the continent notwithstanding, the inherent behavioral tendencies of the people as regards gender manifested itself among the slaves taken to the new world such as the Americas, which found women being in the forefront of militant agitations and actions not only to free slaves but for race equality with the others in the new societies. And further concluded that the new call for gender equality in societies, Africa inclusive , was what was operational in Africa before colonialism , shoving Africa to retrogression in gender equality advancement as one of the major impact of European colonization.

Key Words: Androgyny, Gender, Behavioral, Flexibility, Dexterity , Social Order.
2024-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Mowaiye Fagbemihttps://journals.iub.edu.pk/index.php/jchs/article/view/3155Civilization and Culture of Bahawalpur State; A Research Review 2024-10-03T06:49:18+00:00Dr. Mian Muhammad Azhar Mianazharbwp@gmail.com
The historical background of the State of Bahawalpur has been discussed to find the reasons, which became the root cause of its cultural values. In this regard, the socio-cultural position of the Bahawalpur State needs to be highlighted so that the readers would be able to know the actual living pattern of the people of this area. The socio - cultural aspect of the State is also important to trace the reasons of social evils in this area. The socio-cultural and geo-economic conditions of Bahawalpur State are one of the leading factors, which played a vital role in the promotion of civilization of this area. The administrative structure of the State also needs to be discussed to sort out the reasons of their poverty. By highlighting the socio-cultural values of this area, it is also necessary to analyze the good and bad habits, which led the society toward crime. It is also necessary to find out where the socio - cultural and political conditions of specific area can be the major factor for establishing a welfare State. The historical background of the State clearly explains that the caste system, feudalism and un- employment issues are due to low literacy rate. On the other side the non-implementation of law and order in any society can lead towards disastrous by involving people in various minor and major socials evils. It is also the need of the time to provide basic needs to the masses like food, shelter, security and education with basic health facilities. The people of this area should be provided awareness by basic education so that it may be helpful to control the bad habits. For this, purpose it needs to flourish the industrial and other business activities to stabilize their economic conditions, which will be helpful to promote a healthy society. Sectarian exploitation on religious grounds can be eliminated just by education and by enforcing law and order. Hence, I have tried to conclude this research paper that awareness through education and socio - cultural teachings can be the leading source to establish a batter society.

Keywords: Bahawalpur State history, Cultural values of Bahawalpur, Socio-cultural aspects, Social evils in Bahawalpur, Geo-economic conditions, Administrative structure.
2024-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Dr. Mian Muhammad Azhar https://journals.iub.edu.pk/index.php/jchs/article/view/3156Foundations of Students’ Activism: A Cursory Study in Pakistani Political Settings of Preliminary Democratic Decade2024-10-03T07:11:41+00:00Dr. Abdul Basitmainazharbwp@gmail.com
Pakistani politics is mostly based on individuals instead of institutions. There is lack of strength, and strong bonding and this gulf give space to other individual leaders or pressure groups to fill this gap. Students being young and energetic are used and exploited and the put their part in this political process. On the other hand, they exert positive influence to run the political system in right direction. After the independence of Pakistan, students played their role in manifestation of political set up, agitation role as a pressure group, and deep involvement into policymaking and the political processes. The creation of Pakistan goes deep into the Pakistan Movement where students played their vital role. Since that time students’ unions or groups had accelerated and established strong system in Pakistan. The ongoing study highlights the aspect of pre- and post-partition student activism, with particular deliberation to the early democratic decades (1947-1958).

Keywords: student activism; British Empire; Freedom Movement; Pakistani political setting; Left-Right milieu; Language Issue
2024-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Dr. Abdul Basithttps://journals.iub.edu.pk/index.php/jchs/article/view/3160Quran, a Lighthouse for the Humanity: A Research Review2024-10-05T05:56:04+00:00Muhammad Imranmuhammadyasir715@yahoo.com
The first surah of the Holy Quran is described as the “Prologue of the Holy Quran”.
