Prophetic strategy, Islamic military ethics, contemporary warfare, Sirah studies, ethical combat, modern military application.Abstract
The Prophetic biography (Sirah) offers not only spiritual and moral guidance but also provides a comprehensive model for political, social, and military leadership. In the present era, the field of warfare has undergone a technological revolution, making it necessary to reassess classical military strategies in light of modern tools and tactics. This paper investigates how the military strategies of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ can be applied in contemporary settings where drones, cyber warfare, and intelligence operations dominate the battlefield. In a time where the Muslim world faces multifaceted military and ideological challenges, this topic presents a balanced and principled framework based on the life of the Prophet ﷺ, which could guide modern military leadership.
The article explores key principles used by the Prophet ﷺ—such as strategic alliances, psychological insight, ethical warfare, and intelligence use—and evaluates their relevance in current military scenarios. The paper argues that Prophetic wisdom, though rooted in a different historical context, offers adaptable frameworks for ethical and effective use of modern military resources.
Following questions will be answered in article.
- What were the core principles of the Prophetic military strategy?
- Can these strategies be aligned with the use of modern warfare tools and technologies?
- How can Sirah-based guidance shape ethical responses in contemporary conflict zones?
This study uses historical analysis, comparative research, and analytical methods. Sources include classical Sirah literature, Islamic legal texts, and contemporary military doctrine.
