Human creation is fundamentally linked with the worship of Allah, which finds its true expression in following the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Among these teachings, noble character (Akhlaq Hamidah) stands as a central element. Qadi ‘Iyad’s classical masterpiece Al-Shifa bi Ta‘rif Huquq al-Mustafa presents a comprehensive account of the Prophet’s ﷺ rights and attributes, including the remarkable aspects of his moral character. This study seeks to explore how the noble conduct of the Prophet ﷺ contributed to the universal spread of Islam, with particular reference to the insights presented in Al-Shifa. It further aims to highlight the transformative power of Prophetic ethics in both personal spirituality and social reformation. The research employs a qualitative, descriptive, and analytical approach. Classical sources, including the Qur’an, Hadith, works of Islamic scholarship, and especially Al-Shifa, are critically examined to understand the ethical dimensions of the Prophet’s ﷺ life and their influence on Islamic expansion. The study reveals that the Prophet ﷺ was divinely perfected in character and appeared in a society marked by deep moral decline. Numerous accounts show that many embraced Islam solely due to his noble manners, though some opponents remained resistant despite witnessing his unmatched ethics. Qadi ‘Iyad’s Al-Shifa demonstrates that the Prophet’s ﷺ moral excellence was not only central to his Prophethood but also a timeless foundation for the spread of Islam. His ethics remain a universal guide for humanity and a means of bridging spiritual, social, and cultural divides.
