Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  • Language: Manuscripts may be submitted in Siraiki, Urdu, or English, depending on the subject matter and target audience.

  • Length: Articles should generally range between 4,000 to 7,000 words, including abstract, references, and notes.

  • Abstract: Each submission must be accompanied by an abstract of 150–250 words in English and Siraiki or Urdu.

  • Formatting: Submissions must follow the journal’s prescribed format and citation style; Chicago.

  • Review Time: The review process may take 6 to 12 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the subject matter.

  • Submission Method: Manuscripts must be submitted through the OJS online system or via the official email of the journal: editor_malhaar@iub.edu.pk.

  • Plagiarism Policy: The journal uses Turnitin to check similarity. Submissions with more than 19% similarity will be automatically rejected.
