This study analyzes the rhetorical and semantic functions of prepositions and connective particles used in the Qur’anic description of worldly life. It demonstrates how these fundamental linguistic elements contribute not only to meaning but also to the miraculous nature of the Qur’an. The Qur’an presents worldly life as transient, deceptive, and ornamental, using precise grammatical and rhetorical strategies. Prepositions such as fi, min, ila, and bi, and connectives like thumma, fa, and hatta, are employed in ways that enhance clarity, emphasis, and depth of meaning. This research highlights the expressive power of these linguistic tools and how they help convey the profound messages of the Qur’an more effectively.
