The causes and drivers of insecurity in the contemporary pluralistic society are very complex and multifaceted. In such a situation, the Seerat-e-Tayyaba (peace be upon him) provides us with such comprehensive and balanced guidance that also contains effective and lasting solutions to these causes of insecurity. The first major cause of insecurity in a pluralistic society is religious prejudice and intolerance. The solution to this problem from the Seerat-e-Tayyaba is complete religious freedom and dialogue between religions. The second major cause of insecurity in a pluralistic society is oppression and injustice. In the matter of justice and fairness, you (peace be upon you) did not give preference to any religion or race, but rather gave equal rights to all religions and races. You (peace be upon you) created an organized state structure to protect a pluralistic society from non-state interference, as well as creating trust and unity among the people. To eliminate economic inequality, you (peace be upon you) established the system of brotherhood, cooperation, and Zakat and Sadaqat. To deal with vested interests, their political and personal motives should be ascertained and then the true reality of the situation should be brought before everyone and such people should be brought to justice. To deal with the problem of political instability, you (PBUH) made agreements based on human brotherhood in the pluralistic society of Medina, in which you defined the rights and duties of everyone. You established an independent judicial system and established the Shura Council.
