Abstract

This research article sheds light on the topic of digital relationships and Shariah limits, examining contemporary social and moral challenges in the light of the teachings of the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). In today’s fast-paced digital age, the nature of relationships between individuals has changed, and while social media, instant messaging, and virtual communities have made communication easier, they have also raised new questions regarding boundaries and moral responsibilities. This article presents an academic analysis of the Shariah limits of relationships, ethics, and contemporary issues in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah. References from the works of scholars of the subcontinent and authenticated juristic sources have been included to ensure the academic accuracy and authenticity of the article. The article proves that in Islamic Shariah, the limits of relationships apply not only to physical interactions but also to digital and online communications. The findings of the research clearly show that moral awareness, transparency, and adherence to limits are essential in digital relationships, and a practical model of this is present in the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).
