Abstract

If we analyze the Persian poetry of Allama Iqbal, we find that he employed suggestive style to concisely express the extensive stories and events from the Noble Quran. The characters mentioned in his Persian poetry are primarily the lives and events of the noble prophets, which Allama Iqbal illuminated in his poetry in the light of the Quranic verses.Allama Iqbal's premier priority was the Noble Quran.Quranic events and narratives are also found in his Urdu poetry in a suggestive manner. Thus, Dr. Iqbal is known not only as a leader of a movement who used speeches and poetry to lighten the political and social distress in the Subcontinent but also as someone who sought to remedy it in the light of the Quran and Sunnah.
