Abstract

Allama Muhammad Iqbal being great poet and a modern mind, has given a crystal clear message to “Muslim Ummah" to solve their challenges. He focused on the Islamic main two spheres i.e., “Shariat” and “Triqat”, which represent the scholars and saints respectively. Iqbal, by following Maulana Jalal-ud-Din Roomi, thought that the Sufi Islam is more relevant, especially in the context of purification of the soul. Iqbal, in his poetry, potray the true face of Islam and criticized Sheikh (Religious Scholar) and the traditional Sufi, who teaches to worship only and avoid practice?  In "ghazal” which is always considered to be a genre  describes  beauty & love, Allama  made experiments, both in artistic way, and in subjects etc. In this article, the couplets highlighted in which Iqbal’s spiritual message conveyed to his audience.
