The Arbaeenat of Dr. Muhammad Sarfraz Muhammadi Saifi: Reformative Methodology and Social Impact
Keywords:

This research examines the Arbaeenat of Dr. Muhammad Sarfraz Muhammadi Saifi as a comprehensive, structured framework aimed at the spiritual, moral, religious, and social development of the individual. Rather than confining its reformative methodology to isolated moral exhortations, this study demonstrates how his approach initiates reform through the purification of the inner self (tazkiyah) and systematically extends it to the formation of a sound social personality.
The Arbaeenat are analyzed across three interconnected dimensions: diagnosing spiritual diseases of the heart with their practical remedies, anchoring religious identity through fundamental Islamic practices and doctrines—such as love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the Finality of Prophethood—and cultivating ethical values like parental respect and communal harmony. By synthesizing Qur’anic teachings and Prophetic traditions, Dr. Sarfraz Saifi establishes inner purity as the essential foundation for external conduct and social responsibility.
Ultimately, this study explores the contemporary social implications of these works, illustrating how their concise, thematic, and practical presentation provides a vital roadmap for addressing modern ethical, familial, and communal challenges. The research concludes that the Arbaeenat offer a unified vision where individual transformation and collective religious reform are deeply intertwined, making them highly relevant for fostering constructive moral transformation in contemporary society.
