The Rights of Parents and Senior Citizens in the Light of Seerat of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) (In the context of Old Age Homes)

Abstract

Old age homes are centers where people leave their parents and elderly persons. While in this old age, elderly parents need the support of their families the most. Islam teaches and commands us to treat elderly people and parents with kindness, no matter how old they are. This article has been extracted from the Teachings of the   Quran and Hadith and various other religious books. The purpose of this article is to help reduce the growing trend of old age homes in Islamic societies, to serve parents as much as possible, and to be successful in this world and the hereafter.
