Abstract

This paper aims to explain the reality of polygamy, its importance, highlight its purposes in Islamic law, and its role in solving moral, economic, and social problems and challenges, eliminating its obstacles and challenges in Afghanistan, and educating Muslims about the religious effects resulting from the practice of polygamy in Afghanistan, all of which are from Through the Qur’anic verses and the hadiths of the Prophet, and the statement that polygamy is not an injustice to women, and a waste of their dignity, and also that it does not mean men dominating women in order to satisfy their lusts, but rather it is one of the rights of women in society. The paper used three approaches in its preparation: the inductive approach, the analytical approach, and the interview method. The paper reached several results, the most important of which are: that polygamy with its conditions contributes to overcoming several challenges, including the large number of spinsters, and the poor economic and moral situation, and that polygamy is one of the rights of women over men, and that it is an honor for them.
