A Critical Analysis of Western Civilization and its thoughts in Postmodernism

Abstract

This research is about the nature and scope of Western Civilization and its thoughts in Postmodernism. Western thinkers have divided their civilization into three periods. They saw this division in terms of the evolution of the human mind. The Postmodernism has its own characteristics. In this era, Modernism gained more criticism, but it was also criticized by some thinkers. During this period antiquated literature flourished, and social and moral values declined. In postmodernism Positivism, Evolution and Sex Revolution made a modern trinity. In Postmodernism, the trend of Globalization began to flourish. It helped in world trade. Some people are protesting due to its favor of Capitalism and developing countries. Some thinkers are criticizing the Globalization, as it is leading to annihilation and the End. Making of Suez and Panama canals and the revolution of Information Technology helped it. In the Postmodernism, the West held global power through international institutions. The United Nations and other international organizations have become the mouthpieces of the West. These are playing their role in making the world civilized as western will and its conditions.
