The methodology and Characteristics of Daros e Quran by Molana Ahmad Ali Lahori

Abstract

 Mulana Ahmed Ali  Lahori (25 may 1887 to 18 feb 1962 )was renowned Quranic scholar and Sufi Muslim scholar of Indian subcontinent, in 1950’s, who immensely influenced religious and academic circles in Lahore ,Pakistan. With his particular focus on human spirit in the Quranic paradigm and its impediments. He was the founder of Anjuman Khuddam ud din, Lahore, Pakistan. Mulana Ahmed Ali presented Quranic teachings in his daros according to principals of Tafseer be-almasoor. His Dars e Quran would satisfy even the most skeptical minds, scholars, students, Professors, Religious scholars, businessmen of his times. Dars was divided into three different levels, and at different timings, according to the type of audience.Dars-e-Aaam, Dars for women, Dars-e-Khaas.
 There are three main topics in his dars e Quran 1. Tawheed 2. Taswuf 3. Jihad. In Mulana Ahmed Ali,s Manhaj-e-Dars,Nazm e Quran have primary importance. He explains the relation between surahas and among ayaat before every surah. He forms pairs because the similarities of the subjects addressed in them. He wanted to spread teaching of Holy Quran in all Muslim society and wanted the Implementations of Islamic law in whole system of life.
