Abstract

The enemies of Islam ,since earliest times ,have been striving hard to create doubts about the ''Divine status " of the Holy book of Muslims ,i.e. Quran resulting an endless storm of objections which were roused by different individuals and organizations. One objection, among numberless, was that there are great many contradictions among verses, leading to doubts. In these objections such verses were presented which were complicated and complex in nature and required a deep insight upon the language and the scholarly nature of the subject. In 5th century A.H, a Jewish rabbi, a scholar in his article ,presented handful of (what he believed)contradictions which were aptly answered by a great contemporary Muslim scholar Allama Ibne Hazam Alundlasi in his book entitled Al Radd ala Ibn-e- Naghrela Alyahudi. Allama Ibne Hazam Alundlasi in his article adopted a unique concise and very comprehensive method, which even today, is highly needed to be adopted to counter the onslaught of the foe. In his answer to those objections raised by Jewish scholar, Allama Ibne Hazam Alundlasi gave great many references from the text of Old Testament which bespeak of his great and deep insight into this ancient religion and the original sources.
