Kitab al Shifa of Qādhī Ayāz (544 A.H) is a comprehensive and detailed account of Fadhāil and Ḥaqūq (Rights) of the Holy Prophet, Muḥammad (SAW). This was first book of its kind. The book attracted ʻUlamā, scholars and general readers especially of Sīrah branch of Islamic Knowledge. This article deals with the Summaries of Kitāb al Shifā written by different authors throughout the history of Islamic Knowledge. Almost twenty such books have been enlisted; four of them being discussed in detail. Most of these summaries have been wiped off by course of time; some of them found as manuscript and only one found available in print. A brief comparative study of this last book with Kitāb al Shifā has been conducted precisely. The Article elaborates some aspects of a neglected branch of Sīrah studies.
