Review Policy
The Pakistan Journal of Economic Studies (PJES) employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, credibility, and integrity of published research. Under this system, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to maintain fairness, confidentiality, and impartiality.
Key Features of Our Peer Review Process:
Reviewer Selection: Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who possess relevant expertise in the subject area of the submission.
Review Guidelines: Reviewers are provided with clear guidelines that emphasize constructive feedback, academic rigor, originality, methodological soundness, and ethical standards.
Timeliness: The journal is committed to an efficient and timely review process and encourages reviewers to submit their reports within the specified review period.
Author Feedback: Authors receive detailed and anonymous reviewer comments to support the revision process and improve the overall quality of their manuscripts.
Editorial Decision: The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of a manuscript is made by the editorial team on the basis of the reviewers’ recommendations and the journal’s editorial standards.
This policy is aligned with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, jointly developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
