The Perspective of The Semantic Field and Its Importance in Understanding The Hadith of The Prophet (Studying the expressions that indicate heat in Sahih Muslim as a model)

Abstract

The semantic field is one of the pillars of semantics and its most important topics that occupied many pages of the books of semantics whose origins were proven in the Arab heritage through language books and linguistic dictionaries, especially meaning dictionaries. The semantic fields are considered one of the most important modern stylistic theories used in approaching texts, clarifying their connotations and understanding their meanings in order to reach new results. They are related to each other, such as synonyms and adjectives, forming a specific semantic field. This research follows the inductive and analytical approach because it relies on extrapolating the hadiths of the Prophet in order to find out the words that indicate heat and explain and interpret them forming a semantic field. This research includes an introduction and two chapters. The introduction is about a theoretical study on the concept of semantic fields and the definition of Sahih Muslim and his author in brief, and the first chapter on the field of nouns denoting heat in Sahih Muslim and the second chapter in the field of verbs denoting heat in Sahih Muslim.
