Abstract

The Article entitled: Lament poetry regarding Ahl-e-Bait
and its development in various periods is a comprehensive ,historical study of the kind of Arabic poetry. The article presents a number of relavant traditions from the early period of Islam regarding lament Arabic poetry. Some companions(male &female) of the Holy Prophet(peace be upon Him) contributed in this regard composing their lament poetry. The article shows a brief summery of the history of lament poetry in various periods. Importance of lament poetry and its status in the teachings of Islam has been described in the article. Keywords:
