Abstract
The artistic image of Abdulrahman Adakhil in Adonese's collection of poems " the poem entitled the falcon was taken as an example" written by DR. Nedal Nawafah, Middle East University ,Amman-Jordan.
This study aimed at clarifying the artistic image of Abdulrahman Adakhil in Adonese's collection of poems, it also discussed the possibility of being an outstanding example to be followed by the Arabs if they seek scientific , economic and political independence. It also intended to reject injustice and oppression and replace them with freedom and justice in the Arab society . The study is divided into three sections .
The first section is an introduction and it discussed other studies in the same field .
The second section is mainly a background of Abdulrahman Al-dakhil and Adonese lives In the third section , I presented the artistic image of Abdulrahman Al-dakhel as it was presented in Adonese's poem "the falcon "since it was taken as example . The images varied like the image of Abdulrahaman's brother murder , Abdulrahaman escape from the Abbasids , the image of Abdulrahaman and his beloved Damascus and the loss of hope of returning to Damascus and the image of the sad Damascus and finally the image of Abdulrahman the stranger and the falcon.
This study focused on the historical and artistic methods. It used the historical image to clarify the factors that were used by Adonese to represent Abdulrahman's image and also his own
life. On the other hand , the artistic method was used to analyze the artistic image of Abdulrahman Al-dakhil .
The result of this study indicated that the poet used the historical legacy of Abdulrahman Adakhil which was alive with hardships as well as oppression the poet displayed how Abdulrahman Adakhil courage and wisdom made him establish a powerful state in a strange land. Abdulrahman Adakhil is an evident example that it should be followed in order to establish a powerful Arab state, able to be independent rather than being subordinate to the West The writer clarified the image of Abdulrahman Adakhil in an obvious way even the poet presented the image of Abdulrahman Adakhil in a poem in which he focused on him as symbol to the present state of the Arab World .
