This article mainly discusses the effects of orientalism in Sirat-ul-Nabi the renowned book of Allamah Shibli Nomānī. Allama Shibli Nomānī's Seerat-ul-Nabi is considered one of the best biographical books in Urdu language and is well-known among the people of Indo-Pak but there is some distinctiveness at many places in his book which scholars have pointed out. Even his disciple Syed Sulaimān Nadvī has also specified the wrongness of his position at a few places. This negation is also necessary because if the predecessors’ sayings, inferences, and arguments are against the Book and Sunnah or the Ummah, then it should not be hidden, but it should be exposed in view of Al-Dīn al-Naṣīḥaḥ. This should be revealed with honesty and this work is even more important and necessary than new writings. If this duty is not fulfilled, a section of the Ummah will suffer great harm because there are thousands of people who follow these greats and the People are unable to discriminate between right and wrong, so they start imitating mistakes along with good words and its influence spread in the entire nation. Therefore, under this purpose, these matters have been described, otherwise the stature of Allamah Shibli Nomānī is very high and will always be. However, clearing up misconceptions regarding the life of Allah's Messenger is more crucial. Furthermore, it will censoriously examine Allamah Shibli Nomānī's opinions regarding several fundamental characteristics of Sirat-ul-Nabiﷺ.
