Contemporary Social Challenges and Necessity of Theological and Ethical Study of The Holy Quran

Abstract

Allah Almighty created this universe and man. Man is the radiant of the world while he is combination of mind, body and soul. On the basis of his structure he is able to lead the world in every aspect. Allah Almighty gave him life and also guides him towards prosperity. Although the sources of knowledge are inbuilt in man but Allah Almighty also gave him divine guidance through his revealing and prophets. Man is the source of human society in the world. In every age man took guidance from revealed knowledge and remained updated. When he faced challenges he followed the principles learnt from divine guidance and solved his problems. With the passage of time and human development world has become global society. Global society has its own challenges and opportunities.

          Regarding global challenges human societies are facing different social challenges. When we explore and delve into those challenges nature of contemporary social challenges is intellectual and spiritual challenges. Contemporary societies wants quick intellectual and spiritual guidance. This research highlights the contemporary social issues in the manner of intellectual and spiritual, determines some intellectual and spiritual issues. This research also explains the importance of intellectual and spiritual study of the Holy Quran regarding contemporary social issues. The study highlights necessity of engagement with the Holy Quran instead of only recitation. The research also make a bridge towards integration of thoughts and ethics of the Holy Quran in education system and society to manage contemporary social challenges.
