Abstract

 

ABSTRACT   Arbaeen fi Usul al-Din by Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali is a short book built around forty main principles. It explains the basics of Islamic belief, worship, ethics, and spirituality. The first part talks about faith, explaining belief in ALLAH, prophethood, and the afterlife. The second part is about worship like prayer, fasting, zakat, and pilgrimage, showing their deeper spiritual meaning beyond just rituals. The third part covers social and moral duties, stressing honesty, justice, and kindness in dealing with others. The fourth part focuses on spiritual growth (تزکیہ نفس), encouraging virtues like patience, gratitude, sincerity, and trust in God, while warning against bad traits like envy, pride, and showing off.
