Abstract

This research discusses the Qur'anic methodology of tathbīt (divine reassurance and steadfastness) used to empower and console the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during the different phases of his prophetic mission. The study also proceeds from the premise that the proclamation of divine truth and the call toward monotheism, justice, and moral reform have historically encountered resistance from dominant socio-political and religious elites whose interests are threatened by transformative prophetic messages. Drawing upon relevant Qur'anic passages and historical accounts of the Prophetic era, this research explores the nature and concentration of the opposition faced by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), including psychological pressure, social isolation, physical harrying, and allegations such as madness, sorcery, and fabrication. Through an analytical examination of selected Qur'anic verses, the article demonstrates that divine revelation worked not only as a source of guidance but also as a powerful mean of spiritual support, emotional comfort, and psychological resilience for the Prophet (PBUH). The Qur'anic discourse of tathbīt reinforced the Prophet's conviction, addressed the challenges posed by intimidating propaganda, and provided him with a framework of patience, determination, and trust in divine wisdom. The paper further argues that the Qur'anic model of encouragement represents a comprehensive methodology for confronting ideological antagonism, social resistance, and personal hardship in the pursuit of truth and reform. Eventually, this study futher highlights the enduring relevance of the Qur'anic concept of tathbīt as a source of inspiration and guidance for contemporary efforts in religious outreach, social transformation, and moral leadership.
