Introductory Review of The ontents of Sīrat--Mustafā Jān-ē-Rahmat (Volume I)

Abstract

The contents of Sīrat Muṣṭafā Jān-e-Raḥmat ﷺ volume one are twenty thematically. In them, the praise and virtues of Muṣṭafā ﷺ  have been spoken in detail. This book is derived from the writings of Maulānā Aḥmad Razā Khān. Its arrangement and editing are the efforts of Muftī ʿĪsā Khān Riḍawī. This book has been written to remove the objection that Maulānā Aḥmad Razā Khān is not the author of a Sīrah book. Most of the contents of the book Sīrat Muṣṭafā ﷺ Jān-e-Raḥmat have been taken from primary sources. In this book, the life of the Holy Prophet ﷺ  was written in a continuous manner.

Every speech of the Last Prophet (Ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa Ālihi wa Sallam) has been preserved by the lovers of the Last Prophet ﷺ, and has been transmitted to us through research with evidence. That is why the completeness of the Sīrah of the Prophet ʿalayhi al-Ṣalātu wa al-Salām is free from all kinds of doubts. The aḥwāl-e-zindagī, routines, manners, moods, tendencies, movements, sittings and departures, and habits and thoughts of any great human being have not been described in such a perfect and detailed way as each part of the Prophet’s ﷺ biography has been recorded in written form. Just as every aspect of the Sīrah of the Prophet ʿalayhi al-Salām is evident to us in written form.

The name of Muftī ʿĪsā Khān Riḍawī is prominent in adapting the thought and services of Maulānā Aḥmad Razā Khān with modern writing styles. Maulānā Muftī ʿĪsā Khān received his education from Dār al-ʿUlūm Manẓar-e-Islām Bareilī, where he became a specialist.
