This study investigates women status in Andalusian poetry through a rhetorical and analytical approach, focusing on the interplay between reality and imagination in the construction of poetic discourse. As Women occupied a prominent position in Andalusian society and literature, which was reflected in the richness and diversity of their representation in poetry. The study seeks to explore how Andalusian poets portrayed women as both real social figures and idealized poetic constructs, and to identify the rhetorical mechanisms employed in shaping these representations. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology, examining selected poetic texts from various Andalusian poets. It analyses the linguistic and rhetorical features of these texts, with particular attention to simile, metaphor, metonymy, symbolism, and imagery. The study further investigates the influence of the Andalusian socio-cultural and natural environment on the formation of poetic images of women. The findings indicate that the image of women in Andalusian poetry is characterized by a dynamic balance between realistic and imaginative dimensions. On the realistic level, women are depicted in their social, emotional, and intellectual roles as beloveds, wives, mothers, and cultured individuals. On the imaginative level, poets frequently idealize women through highly aestheticized representations, associating them with elements of beauty found in nature, such as flowers, gardens, stars, and the moon. These images are reinforced through sophisticated rhetorical techniques that enhance both the artistic and emotional impact of the poetic text. The study concludes that the image of women in Andalusian poetry constitutes a complex artistic construct that reflects both the realities of Andalusian society and the creative imagination of its poets. The interaction between reality and imagination, mediated through rhetorical expression, contributes significantly to the uniqueness and aesthetic value of Andalusian poetic discourse.
